Since its debut in 1998, the One Day Power Sales (ODPS) program of NPC has been the outstanding and well-liked program of the Corporation. It has given the electricity consumer, particularly the self-generator an alternative source of power that is priced below the prevailing NPC selling rate. If the electricity consumer finds that thse ODPS is cheaper than the cost of operating his power plant, then he shut down his plant and purchase power from NPC under the program to meet his power requirement. The enhancement of the ODPS called E-ODPS is intended to make the existing ODPS program attuned to the objectives of the EPIRA and to the latest information technology in the market. The E-ODPS will be made available in the Luzon, Cebu-Negros-Panay-Leyte-Samar and Mindanao grids for as long as NPC has excess capacity in those grids.

This is a bidding online portal for all energy reserve provider,so price of procuring reserves will be driven freely by the market, thus making it possible to procure reserves at a lowest price possible which is advantageous to the consumers.
